More reliable source discovery

We've made a set of behind-the-scenes improvements to how RivalReport discovers the sources you can add for each competitor.

The main focus is reliability: suggestions will appear more consistently, scans keep their place when there are more competitors to check, and existing sources stay protected if a discovery run comes back empty.

What's Improved

  • More dependable RSS discovery – RSS discovery now runs more consistently during account setup and from competitor settings, using the same server-side discovery flow as the suggestions panel.
  • More reliable feed updates - If we cannot validate any new feeds during a scan, we no longer risk clearing out RSS feeds you already had connected.
  • Better scan progress - When you have a large number of competitors, RivalReport now keeps track of what has already been checked, leading to more reliable scannning.
  • More resilient YouTube suggestions - YouTube discovery now handles incomplete or unusual competitor URLs more gracefully, and skips extra lookup work when a competitor already has a YouTube channel set.
  • Clearer RSS suggestions - Suggested feeds now show the feed URL and site icon where available, making it easier to decide which feeds are worth adding.
  • Cleaner suggestion cards - Long YouTube and page suggestion details now truncate more neatly, and broken feed icons fall back to a standard RSS icon.

We also tightened workspace scoping around suggestions, so discovery results stay tied to the workspace you are currently using.

The result of these updates should feel simple, if not completely invisible: open a competitor, review suggested RSS feeds or YouTube channels, and add the ones that look useful with more confidence.
